We had a great start to the week at WP! Yesterday, students participated in Color Games where they worked together, cheered each other on and most of all had fun! Today, we had a Gizmo Robot assembly. The robot interacted with the kids by talking with them, teaching them important lessons and even playing games with them. Thanks PTA for the awesome assembly!

For their service project this year, Warren Point's Grade 4 students hosted local Senior Citizens on Friday, April 19th. Students and Seniors participated in a day of fun with the theme "You are my future." Students and Seniors participated in activities such as bracelet making, storytelling and games. Thank you to the students, seniors, the fourth grade committee and volunteers for creating such a wonderful experience!

On Monday February 26th, we hosted author Sue Steinhardt and her furry friend Phil. Sue is the author of the Imperfect Phil series which teaches students that no one is perfect and you should always be yourself. Students decorated the gym with pictures of Phil and Sue read students one of her books, they completed an activity and had a chance to meet and pet Phil.
Thank you to the WP PTA and the WP Cultural Arts Committee for making today possible! And, of course, thank you to Phil, Sue and Terry!!!

Our 2nd grade students performed their Holiday Concert at the Children's Therapy Center on Thursday, December 21st. They did an amazing job!! Way to go Ms. Cerasani and the 2nd grade kids!

Mrs. Latrella and the fourth-grade students participated in the Independent Study program and held an Invention Expo on Wednesday, December 13th. The students identified problems within the classroom and lunchroom area with regard to desks, lunchroom tables, and facilitation of food during their lunch period. After engaging in multiple solution seeking activities, the fourth grade “engineers” drafted design plans and created prototypes to bring their ideal classroom desk or lunchroom table vision to fruition! Students created tri-fold presentation boards to highlight their journey through the engineering process and presented their reimagined and innovative classroom / lunchroom furniture designs to all that attended the expo! Great job!

It has been a GREAT two weeks at Warren Point!
On Wednesday 11/8, all students participated in our annual Diwali celebration. Students learned about Diwali, completed a Diwali craft and even received a small gift to take home. Thank you to our parents for organizing and running the celebration and to the PTA volunteers who helped to facilitate the program!
On Thursday 11/16, Warren Point hosted five Fair Lawn Veterans for a morning of learning, questions and song. Students interacted with the participants, asked questions and performed "Marching for our Veterans." The Veterans were so honored by the performance that they saluted our students at the end. Thank you to the WP faculty Cultural Arts committee for helping to coordinate the event and to our honored Veterans for attending.
On Friday 11/17, Warren Point was happy to welcome our new Superintendent Dr. Dionisio! Many students and staff had an opportunity to meet Dr. Dionisio when he came to visit. Thank you for visiting and we look forward to seeing you soon!

We had a great Week of Respect at WP! Throughout the week we participated in daily Spirit days. On Tuesday, the Guardian came to WP to teach students about being a HERO and standing up to Bullying. Wednesday was a perfect day for Color Games, where students participated in events that focused on teamwork and the pillars of character. Thank you to the PTA for sponsoring the Guardian assembly and T-Shirts and volunteers for Color Games!

Warren Point's Kindergarten, First and Second grade students had a special guest for their afternoon movement break- Jack Hartman!! Jack Hartman joined students on a 30 minute zoom and led them in a special movement break just for WP! He even gave every teacher and classroom a special shout out!! Ethan from KB arrived at school in a fire truck today! He was the lucky winner of the PTA "Ride to School in a Fire Truck" raffle. Fire Engine #3 and our new mascot, Warren the Eagle, picked Ethan up and escorted him to school where he was greeted by his teacher and classmates. Congrats to Ethan!

The Harlem Wizards brought their enthusiasm, energy and amazing basketball skills to the students and staff at WP on Thursday 4/27 Teachers and staff from the district will play the Wizards at FLHS on May 8th at 6:30pm. Mrs. Braff, Senorita Panzitta and Ms. Gons will be representing WP in the game! We hope you'll be there!

Unique Creatures came to visit Warren Point today. Students learned about iguanas, tarantulas, toads, tortoises, skunks and owls. Thank you to the PTA and to Mr. Larry for this fun, educational and unique experience.

Warren Point welcomed deep sea diver, photographer and author- Michael Patrick O’Neill. Mr. O’Neill spent the entire day with the students and teachers. He shared his pictures and books with students, had lunch with the Cultural Arts Committee, and held Writing workshops for our third and fourth graders. Thank you to the PTA and Mr. O’Neill for a “whale” of a day!!
